LEESBURG – Two cats perished during a mobile home fire Wednesday night on East CR 575N, Leesburg.
Plain Township Fire Department got the initial call around 8 p.m. Wednesday for a mobile home fire at 298 E. CR 575N, Leesburg, said Fire Chief Derek Tenney. According to court records, the property is owned by Norman Pauline.
When the fire department arrived on the scene, the fire was spread across the attic. The fire was under control by 9 p.m., and Tenney didn’t have an estimate on damages. The cause of the fire was due to electrical issues.
One person at home at the time was able to get out, along with some dogs, but two cats perished.
