WARSAW — A US Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker flyover has been added to the Freedom Fest Veterans Recognition Ceremony on Saturday, June 6.
The ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds in Warsaw.
The ceremony will take place on the midway next to the recently installed nation’s largest free-flying American flag and will honor the brave men and women who have served our country while celebrating America’s 250th Birthday.
Organizers say several surprise guests are also expected to attend the ceremony, making it a memorable afternoon for veterans, families, and festival visitors.
The public is also invited to participate in the Freedom Fest Veterans Wall by bringing copies of photographs of their favorite veterans to display during the festival. Photos should include the veteran’s name whenever possible. Please do not bring original photos, as the display will be outdoors.
Admission to Freedom Fest is free, and attendees are encouraged to come early and enjoy the many food vendors and attractions located throughout the fairgrounds.
Many of your favorite fair food vendors will be on-site, along with patriotic displays, entertainment, and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
The KC-135 flyover is weather and mission-dependent.
Freedom Fest is part of Kosciusko County’s America 250 celebration and is organized by the ML Community Impact Alliance, Inc. and the Freedom Fest Committee.
