INDIANAPOLIS — It was a banner night for the Tiger boys track & field team at the state finals at North Central High School in Indianapolis, Saturday night.
The meet was suspended twice because of lightning in northern Marion County.
In between streaks of lightning, Jordan Randall won his second straight High Jump state championship by clearing the bar at 7’2”.
He missed on three attempts to break the state record of 7’4”.
Tucker Reed was state runner-up in the Pole Vault by going 16’ and took 16th in the Long Jump with a jump of 22’ 2.5”.
Quinton Wilson was 22nd in the Discus with a throw of 151’ 9’.
Miles Rager was 24th in the 400m with a time of 49.57. Zander Bail finished 28th in the 110m Hurdles in a time of 15.06. Jackson Gackenheimer was 21st in the 1600m with a time of 4.20.67.
As a team, the Tigers finished tied for 11th with 18 points.
