“I just felt comfortable there, I never really tried to visit a lot of showcases throughout each summer but after a junior camp there it just felt really good.” Said Jones after committing to the Trojans.
Jones is projected to play on the defense at Taylor as a safety and also run the 200m in the spring on the track.
“The relationships I made there were great and that’s what made the difference in the end for me.”
The standout senior has scored 3 touchdowns on 5 catches with 155 yards for Death Valley this season. He also just moved into top 10 all-time for reception yards with 644 career yards.
On defense Jones has the school record for interceptions and has picked up 2 of them this season with 14 tackles to add to that.
At Taylor he plans to study physical therapy a passion that started for him after suffering a concussion as an underclassmen.
“After visiting Fort Wayne for physical therapy it really inspired me to pursue something like that in college.” Jones added.
