WARSAW — The contractor performing relocation of NIPSCO’s gas utilities will close a small portion of Anchorage Road beginning Wednesday.

The closure from the railroad tracks to Sunset Drive will be from Wednesday, April 30, until Tuesday, May 6.

This closure is necessary to complete the crossover connection for the newly installed gas main.

Detours will be posted for motorists. However, motorists are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time.

That immediate area has been closed several times as utilities relocate lines ahead of a major reconstruction of much of the street.
